(So in the end 5x on the OSSC doesnt work (as it only supports it on 240p and similar resolutions. Tried enabling vsync in pcsx2 with windows aero on, had perfect screen without tearing and stuttering BUT slow performance. Ive used 1.4 and 1.5 and they both do it. (ICO 60 Hz mode on the PAL version).Įdit: Oh, and others have reported on it as well, see f.e.: So I dont think its necessarily TV related.Įdit2: GSM cant fix it, as it doesnt have an 240p image mode. Whenever I play Socom CA, the top left to the bottom right of the entire screen has a horrible screen tear. ![]() ![]() Both ICO (PAL) and my PS1 games run at 60Hz though. Havent tried GSM to force a NTSC output, but may try that next. You are using OPL, so GameFAQs is not the right place where you can find a solution. I have managed to solve the tearing issue using the line extratransposebuffer. Since that moves the OSSC into 2x scaling mode (on my settings), as 525i is detected. so it probably dont have vertical sync, if Im not mistaken even the remastered version on the ps3 has this little problem. Rotate the screen: rotatescreen: ALT + Enter: Toggle fullscreen mode. Has anyone found a way to fix it, or has an idea what OSSC setting might impact it?Īlso interesting tidbit, it doesnt happen on the idle video (Gametrailer in 525i) that plays on the start menu in ICO (the one thats actually a video, and not ingame (you see video compression)). Go to Settings -> Interface -> Game Display and preferably check the Start Fullscreen checkbox and dont check Render To Main Window, so you can alt+tab. Meaning, I like that setting, very much, for both PS1 and PS2 games, if it wasnt for the tearing. ![]() The drawback is, that whenever there is slowdown in the game (<60fps) youll get <30 fps. Just disable framelimiting and enable VSYNC. Has anyone found a way to fix it, or has an idea what OSSC setting might impact it? I see it on PAL 240p PS2 games like ICO (actually 263p) and on NTSC PSX games alike (using POPStarter), 3x and 4x (?) dont suffer from it, and if I turn 5x resolution to 1920x1200 instead of 1920x1080 its gone as well, but the game still displays with (accurate) Pal Borders around it, which are cropped on my TV if I use 5x at 1920x1080. If you own NTSC games and a 60Hz screen you are lucky.
